Thanks to the Facebook of qatet and someone else, the topic of vampires and how they support themselves has come up. I noted that most vampires are seen as idle aristocrats or at least solid middle class.
commodorified notes that Henry Fitzroy has a job, and I now add Otto von Chriek to that list.

However, the thing that has really caught my attention is the idea of a poor peasant vampire. Preferably like Tevya. In a musical. With his hard hard life.
