I go in to that soul-sucking 3 million volume fortress we call Perry-Castañeda Library looking for a book or two. Namely, I need to read and write a one page report on Eminent Victorians by Lytton Strachey. I also ought to see if there are any available copies of the Silmarillion for my Tolkien Linguistics class so I don't fall behind in the reading. (I have failed in this.)

What do I come out with?

Eminent Victorians, to be sure. Also:
"A Power in the Land: The Percys" by Richard Lomas
"The Monsters and the Critics" by J.R.R. Tolkien
"The Saga of King Heidrek the Wise" trans. Christopher Tolkien

None of which have the slightest to do with my classes, that I know of, and at a time when I already have 3 other unread books from the library (1) as well as a ton of other reading I need to catch up on for my classes.

Not to mention all the other things I need to take care of, like moving the rest of my stuff into my room (how can I get by with only one computer???) and making more LJ icons. I'm sure you're tired of me looking like my title. Finally, there's that fun stuff like finding time for work, dancing and making it to my friend's family wine-making party.
