It beats me
Jan. 23rd, 2006 02:37 pmI'm rereading the Honor Hornnblower series by David Weber, and it just beats me how much he's lifted/made homage to in this series. I'm enjoying the space battles, but his politics just put me on edge (his has two sides: mine, and the stupid) and sometimes you can just feel that he's making the math up each time. I'm tempted to go back and check tonnage of ships between books, as I'm pretty sure I've seen it change a few times, but I can just skip over all that. The psychic-wonder-treecat hasn't made his appearance yet, he's still mostly normal, although his intelligence descriptions have been climbing each book.
Anyway, this post brought to you by Honor Hornblower being made a Colonel of Marines, in a scene we've never seen before...
