My country cannot be behind theirs
Jul. 8th, 2008 12:12 amEven if we're under it.
In counterpoint to the Duelling CanCon of
iclysdale and
commodorified I must produce a brief selection of Texas Content. Mostly from Austin, actually.
Eliza Gilkyson
The Austin Lounge Lizards are our local Arrogant Worms. In this case, they singing about a Canadian.
I'll also squeeze in one of them on a more upbeat tempo, if not topic:
Cory Morrow is a midlist country artist at best, in the shadow of his frequent collaborator and more noticed counterpart Pat Green. Here he addresses the strain of touring
What Made Milwaukee Famous - Sultan (featuring the UT Fencing Team)
On the more historical side, Bob Wills and his Texas Playboys
One thing about Texas is that Marching Bands at the Thing. Probably because they complement our religion so much, fitting as they do between the gospel and the sermon.
(Because I'm weak, more of the same)
